بنات القدس بقيادة سهيل خوري

مع بروز مجموعة متميزة من العازفات والمغنيات في المعهد الوطني في القدس، جاءت مبادرة تأسـيس فرقـة " بنات القدس" في العـام ٢٠١٣ كفرقة خاصة بالفتيات لتاكيد حضورهن ودورهن الريادي في مجتمعهن ولنشر الموسيقى والاغاني الانسانية الملتزمة من خلال مواهب عضوات الفرقة. تمتاز الفرقة ببراعة عازفاتها وجمال اصوات مغنياتها ودقة ادائهن وذلك باستعمال تعدد وتآلف الاصوات اللحنية وهو امر غير مألوف في الموسيقى العربية. حيث يقوم بالتوزيع الموسيقي للفرقة وقيادتها الاستاذ سهيل خوري مدير عام المعهد. وقد قدمت الفرقة عروضا متميزة خلال الأعوام الماضية تضمنت مُنتَجات موسـيقية وغنائية جديدة لموسـيقيين فلسـطينيين وعرب، تقدمها بروح وتوزيعات جديدة وجذابة للمسـاهمة في ابراز جماليات الموسيقى العربية.

نالت فرقة "بنـات القـدس"جائزة أفضل جوقة في الشرق الأوسـط مـن مهرجان دبي للجوقات في آذار من العام 2016.  وأطلقت أولى اسطواناتها الموسيقية  بعنوان "بنات القدس" في أوسلو – النرويج والقدس – فلسطين في شهر كانون أول 2018 مع شركة الانتاج النرويجية KKV وشاركت في اسطوانة "حنة" التي اطلقت في ربيع 2021 وحصلت على أحسن اسطوانة لشهر آب 2021  ضمن تصنيف “Transglobal World Music Chart”.

Daughters of Jerusalem, led by Suhail Khoury

With the emergence of a distinguished group of female instrumentalists and vocalists at the National Conservatory in Jerusalem, the initiative to establish the “Daughters of Jerusalem” ensemble was launched in 2013 as an all-female group. The aim was to affirm their presence and pioneering role in their society, and to promote meaningful, humanitarian music and songs through the talents of the ensemble’s members.

The group is distinguished by the musical skill of its instrumentalists, the beauty of its vocalists' voices, and their precision in performance. Their use of polyphony and harmonic blending—a rare feature in Arabic music—adds a unique quality to their sound. The ensemble is musically arranged and led by Maestro Suhail Khoury, the General Director of the Conservatory.

Over the past years, the group has delivered remarkable performances that included new musical and vocal productions by Palestinian and Arab composers. These were presented with fresh and captivating arrangements that highlight the beauty and richness of Arabic music.

In March 2016, the Daughters of Jerusalem won the Best Choir in the Middle East award at the Dubai Choir Festival.
They released their first music album, titled "Daughters of Jerusalem", in Oslo, Norway and Jerusalem, Palestine in December 2018, in collaboration with the Norwegian production company KKV.

The ensemble also took part in the album “Hanna”, released in Spring 2021, which was named Best Album for August 2021 by the Transglobal World Music Chart.
